This Cookies and Similar Technologies Policy (the "Cookies Policy") explains how Sociala Inc. ("Sociala," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, local storage, software development kits ("SDKs"), pixels, tags, device identifiers, app-store or operating-system signals, and other similar technologies when you access or use Sociala's websites, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
This Cookies Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Age Assurance and Parental Consent Policy, App Store Compliance Addendum, Child Safety / CSAE Standards, Community Guidelines, Payment Systems Policy, and other applicable Platform Policies.
This Cookies Policy is intended to provide transparency about technologies used for authentication, security, fraud prevention, preferences, analytics, payments, Consultations, age-appropriate experiences, safety controls, and other Platform operations. It does not replace the Privacy Policy, which explains how Sociala collects, uses, shares, retains, and deletes personal data more broadly.
In the event of any inconsistency between this Cookies Policy and the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use will prevail. In the event of any inconsistency between this Cookies Policy and the Privacy Policy with respect to personal data processing, the Privacy Policy will prevail.
2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?Cookies are small text files or similar pieces of information stored on or accessed through your browser or device when you visit a website or use an online service. Cookies can help a platform function, keep you logged in, remember preferences, improve security, prevent fraud, measure performance, and provide a better user experience.
Cookies may be session cookies, which expire when you close your browser or end a session, or persistent cookies, which remain on your device until they expire or are deleted.
Similar technologies may include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, SDKs, device identifiers, mobile advertising identifiers where applicable, push notification tokens, app instance identifiers, app-store install identifiers, operating-system APIs, consent-management tools, security tokens, and other technical mechanisms used on websites or in mobile applications.
For simplicity, this Cookies Policy refers to cookies and similar technologies collectively as "cookies" or "similar technologies," even though some technologies used in mobile apps do not operate like browser cookies.
3. How We Use Cookies and Similar TechnologiesSociala uses cookies and similar technologies to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Platform. Depending on how you access Sociala, these technologies may be used to:
Cookie preferences do not determine or override financial transactions, subscriptions, fees, commissions, payouts, app-store billing rules, refunds, taxes, chargebacks, age restrictions, parental consent requirements, safety restrictions, or other obligations governed by the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Payment Systems Policy, Fees and Commissions Policy, Refund Policy, Age Assurance and Parental Consent Policy, App Store Compliance Addendum, and applicable law.
4. Types of Cookies and Similar Technologies We UseSociala may use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies. Some categories may not be used in every jurisdiction, app version, browser, device, or Platform experience.
4.1 Strictly Necessary / Essential TechnologiesThese technologies are necessary for the Platform to function properly and securely. They may support login authentication, session continuity, account access, payments, subscription renewal workflows, fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, consent management, child-safety workflows, age-restricted feature controls, Consultation session functionality, accessibility, and core user interface settings.
Because these technologies are required to provide and secure the Platform, they generally cannot be disabled through Sociala's cookie settings tools. You may block some of them through your browser or device settings, but doing so may cause the Platform or specific features to stop working properly.
4.2 Authentication, Security, and Fraud-Prevention TechnologiesThese technologies help us verify accounts, maintain secure sessions, detect suspicious activity, prevent account takeover, prevent automated abuse, protect payment flows, investigate chargebacks, protect creator earnings, and enforce Platform Policies.
These technologies may include session identifiers, authentication tokens, security logs, device or browser signals, IP-derived location information, rate-limit signals, anti-abuse identifiers, or fraud-prevention SDK signals.
4.3 Preferences and Functionality TechnologiesThese technologies remember choices and settings, such as language, region, display preferences, accessibility settings, notification preferences, cookie choices, login preferences, and similar Platform settings.
Disabling these technologies may make the Platform less personalized or may require you to re-enter preferences more often.
4.4 Analytics and Performance TechnologiesThese technologies help us understand how users interact with the Platform, such as which pages or features are used, how navigation occurs, how features perform, where errors occur, and how the Platform can be improved.
Where appropriate, Sociala may use aggregated, pseudonymized, or privacy-conscious analytics configurations designed to reduce unnecessary collection. Where required by applicable law, analytics cookies and similar technologies are used only after obtaining required consent.
4.5 Consultation and Real-Time Communication TechnologiesSociala may use cookies, SDKs, local storage, device signals, connection diagnostics, and similar technologies to operate Consultations, video meetings, audio/video communication, recording consent, attendance verification, no-show handling, dispute review, technical diagnostics, call quality measurement, and safety review.
If you disable or block technologies required for real-time communication, recording consent, authentication, or device compatibility, you may be unable to book, join, complete, or receive support for Consultations.
4.6 Payment, Subscription, and Transaction TechnologiesSociala and its payment, payout, app-store, and fraud-prevention providers may use cookies or similar technologies to process purchases, subscriptions, deposits, renewals, refunds, chargebacks, platform balances, creator earnings, payouts, taxes, fraud checks, sanctions screening, and transaction reconciliation.
Some payment technologies are controlled by third-party providers such as Stripe, Apple, Google, or other payment or app-store providers. Their processing may be subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and technical requirements.
4.7 Consent-Management and Compliance TechnologiesSociala may use cookies or local storage to remember your cookie choices, privacy choices, consent status, consent withdrawal, region, notice version, policy version, timestamp, and related compliance information.
These technologies help us avoid asking you the same questions repeatedly, apply legally required preferences, maintain evidence of consent or withdrawal where needed, and comply with privacy, app-store, and legal requirements.
4.8 Age Assurance, Parental Consent, and Safety TechnologiesWhere required or permitted by applicable law, app-store rules, or platform distribution requirements, Sociala may use cookies, local storage, SDKs, app-store APIs, operating-system signals, or similar technologies to support age-appropriate experiences, parental consent, age category, purchase approval status, significant-change approval status, consent revocation status, safety defaults, and age-restricted feature controls.
Age Assurance Signals are used only for age restrictions, parental consent, legal compliance, safety defaults, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and related trust and safety purposes. Sociala does not use Age Assurance Signals for advertising, marketing, behavioral targeting, user profiling, growth analytics, or unrelated commercial purposes.
Personal data received from an app store solely for age verification will be deleted after completion of the required verification unless retention is required or permitted by applicable law, safety obligations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, audit, or compliance recordkeeping.
4.9 Embedded Features and Third-Party ContentThe Platform may include embedded tools, video players, widgets, login tools, payment tools, maps, customer-support tools, social media features, or other third-party features. These third parties may use cookies or similar technologies necessary for their features to operate.
Embedded third-party features are governed by the third party's own terms, privacy policies, and cookie practices. Sociala does not control all technical choices made by those third parties.
4.10 Advertising, Retargeting, and TrackingAt this time, Sociala does not use cookies, SDKs, pixels, or similar technologies for third-party cross-context behavioral advertising or retargeting.
Sociala does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly used in U.S. state privacy laws.
If Sociala later introduces advertising, retargeting, tracking, or similar technologies that require consent, opt-out rights, Apple App Tracking Transparency permission, Google Play disclosures, or other notices, Sociala will update this Cookies Policy and provide required controls before using those technologies where required by law or platform rules.
5. Mobile App Technologies, SDKs, and Device IdentifiersMobile applications often use technologies that do not operate as browser cookies. These may include SDKs, app instance identifiers, device identifiers, push notification tokens, crash-reporting tools, analytics SDKs, payment SDKs, video or communication SDKs, app-store purchase APIs, age-signal APIs, fraud-prevention tools, and operating-system permissions.
Sociala may use these technologies to operate and secure the mobile app, authenticate users, support payments and purchases, process app-store billing or purchase approvals, maintain session continuity, support Consultations, deliver push notifications, detect crashes, measure performance, prevent abuse, enforce age restrictions, and comply with Apple App Store, Google Play, and other platform requirements.
Your browser cookie settings may not control SDKs, app permissions, push notification tokens, operating-system identifiers, app-store purchase signals, or other mobile-app technologies. You may be able to manage some mobile technologies through your device settings, app permissions, operating-system privacy controls, Apple or Google account settings, app-store settings, or in-app privacy settings where provided.
Sociala is responsible for ensuring that its use of SDKs and third-party code is accurately reflected in itsPrivacy Policy, Apple App Privacy disclosures, Google Play Data Safety disclosures, and other required disclosures.
6. Cookies, Similar Technologies, and MinorsThe Platform is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 are not permitted to create an account or use the Platform.
Users between 13 and 17 may access only limited, non-monetized features where permitted by applicable law, app-store requirements, and Sociala's age-assurance controls. Certain features may require parental or guardian consent.
Sociala may use essential technologies, age-assurance technologies, parental-consent signals, app-store signals, operating-system signals, safety settings, and local controls to enforce age-appropriate experiences, parental approval, consent revocation, significant-change approvals, and restrictions on monetization, purchases, paid interactions, messaging, Consultations, creator tools, and age-restricted content.
Sociala does not use cookies or similar technologies to target minors with third-party behavioral advertising, retargeting, or profiling. Sociala does not use Age Assurance Signals for ads, marketing, behavioral targeting, user profiling, growth analytics, or unrelated commercial purposes.
Parents or guardians may contact Sociala regarding privacy, age assurance, parental consent, or child-safety concerns using the contact information below.
7. Third-Party Cookies, SDKs, and Service ProvidersSome cookies or similar technologies may be placed or accessed by third-party service providers that help Sociala operate the Platform. These may include providers for hosting, authentication, payments, payouts, fraud prevention, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, email, push notifications, video or real-time communication, moderation, age assurance, app-store services, and security.
Third-party service providers are authorized to process personal data as reasonably necessary to provide services to Sociala and are subject to contractual or legal safeguards where appropriate. Some third parties, such as app stores, payment providers, operating-system providers, or embedded-feature providers, may also process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Sociala does not permit third-party advertising or retargeting cookies on the Platform. However, embedded third-party functionality, payment tools, app-store services, SDKs, or operating-system features may still involve technical cookies or similar technologies necessary for those features to operate.
8. Representative Cookie and Similar Technology InventorySociala may maintain a more granular cookie and SDK inventory in its Cookie Settings tool or Privacy Policy where required. The table below describes representative categories rather than every technical identifier that may be used.

Where required by applicable law, you may be prompted to accept, reject, or manage certain cookie and similar-technology preferences when you first visit or use Sociala.
9.1 Cookie SettingsWhere available, you can revisit Cookie Settings on the Platform to manage non-essential cookie preferences. Changes may not affect technologies that are strictly necessary for authentication, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, payment processing, age assurance, child safety, or core Platform functionality.
9.2 Browser ControlsMost browsers allow you to block, delete, or restrict cookies. Browser controls may vary by browser and device. Blocking cookies may affect login, security, payments, preferences, Consultations, and other Platform features.
9.3 Mobile Device and App ControlsMobile app technologies may be managed through your device settings, app permissions, notification settings, Apple or Google privacy settings, app-store settings, or in-app settings where available. Browser cookie settings may not control mobile SDKs or app-store signals.
9.4 Consent WithdrawalWhere processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent where required and supported. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal and does not prevent Sociala from using strictly necessary technologies or processing data where another legal basis applies.
9.5 Do Not Track and Global Privacy ControlSome browsers offer "Do Not Track" or similar signals. There is no single industry standard for responding to all such signals. Where legally required, Sociala may recognize browser-based opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control, for applicable opt-out rights. Because Sociala does not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, these signals generally do not change Sociala's current advertising practices.
10. Regional Notices10.1 EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Similar Consent JurisdictionsWhere required by applicable law, Sociala will request consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies, such as certain analytics or performance technologies. Strictly necessary technologies may be used without consent where permitted by law because they are required to provide, secure, or maintain the Platform.
You may be able to withdraw or change consent through Cookie Settings where available.
10.2 California and Other U.S. State Privacy LawsSociala does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly used in U.S. state privacy laws.
If Sociala introduces technology that would constitute a sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling under applicable law, Sociala will update its disclosures and provide any required opt-out mechanisms.
10.3 App-Store and Platform RequirementsApple, Google, and other app stores may require disclosures regarding data collection, tracking, SDKs, age signals, purchase approval, app privacy labels, Data Safety forms, parental consent, and significant changes. Sociala may use cookies or similar technologies to comply with those requirements and may restrict features where approval, consent, or safety requirements are not satisfied.
11. Retention of Cookies and Related RecordsThe duration of cookies and similar technologies varies depending on their purpose, your settings, your device, applicable law, and the provider controlling the technology.
Session technologies generally expire when the session ends. Persistent technologies may remain until their stated expiration date, until replaced, or until you delete them. Consent-management records, security logs, fraud-prevention records, transaction records, subscription records, Channel pause records, subscriber-management records, access-entitlement records, age-assurance records, recording consent records, and legal/compliance records may be retained.
Personal data received from an app store solely for age verification will be deleted after completion of the required verification unless retention is required or permitted for legal, safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, audit, or compliance purposes.
12. Updates to This Cookies PolicySociala may update this Cookies Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, regulation, technology, app-store requirements, SDKs, cookie practices, Platform operations, or Platform Policies.
Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law, including by email, in-product notice, website notice, cookie banner, app-store mechanism, parental-control mechanism, or other legally permitted method.
Certain changes, including changes affecting minors, age assurance, parental consent, age signals, categories of personal data collected, analytics, advertising, tracking, SDKs, or app-store disclosures, may constitute significant changes under applicable law or app-store requirements. Sociala may restrict access to affected features until any required consent, parental approval, app-store approval, or user confirmation is obtained.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, updates become effective when posted on the Platform or otherwise communicated to users. If you do not agree to the updated Cookies Policy, you should stop using the Platform and adjust your cookie settings where available.
