1. Overview

You can request deletion of your Sociala account and associated personal data. This page explains how to initiate account deletion, what happens after a request, what data may be deleted or retained, and how subscriptions, funds, purchases, payouts, and pending disputes may be affected.

This page should be read together with Sociala's Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Data Deletion Request Procedure,Payment Systems Policy, Fees and Commissions Policy, Refund Policy, and other applicable Platform Policies.

2. In-App Deletion Path

To initiate account deletion inside the Sociala app:

  • Open the Sociala app.
  • Go to Settings.
  • Select Account.
  • Select Delete Account.
  • Follow the verification and confirmation steps displayed in the app.

Sociala may require password confirmation, email confirmation, two-factor authentication, device confirmation, or other reasonable verification before processing a deletion request.

3. Web Deletion Request

If you cannot access the app, you may request deletion through the web at:

https://sociala.com/delete-account

If a web form is unavailable, you may contact [email protected] from the email address associated with your Sociala account.

4. Email Fallback

Email subject line: Account Deletion Request

Please include:

  • full name;
  • email associated with your Sociala account;
  • username, if available;
  • a clear statement that you are requesting deletion of your Sociala account;
  • any relevant transaction, subscription, or payout issue you want Sociala to consider before deletion.

Do not send passwords, full payment card numbers, government IDs, or unnecessary sensitive information by email unless Sociala specifically instructs you to use a secure process.

5. Verification

To protect users from unauthorized deletion, Sociala may ask you to verify your identity or account control before processing your request.

If Sociala cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request, Sociala may delay, deny, or request additional information.

Parents, guardians, and authorized agents may be required to verify their authority before Sociala acts on a request involving a minor or another person's account.

6. What Account Deletion Means

Deleting your account is different from:

  • logging out;
  • uninstalling the app;
  • disabling notifications;
  • canceling a subscription;
  • pausing a creator account;
  • deactivating a profile;
  • removing a Channel;
  • deleting individual content.

After verified account deletion, you may lose access to the account, profile, content, purchases, creator tools, messages, Paid Messages, Consultations, Channel administration, payout tools, referral tools, affiliate tools, and support history associated with that account.

7. What Sociala Deletes or De-Identifies

After verification, Sociala will delete or de-identify account data and associated personal data that Sociala is not legally required or permitted to retain.

This may include account profile information, contact details, settings, non-retained user content, and other account-associated personal data, subject to legal, safety, payment, fraud, tax, accounting, and operational retention exceptions.

8. Data Sociala May Retain

Sociala may retain limited data where necessary or permitted for:

  • tax, accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting;
  • payment processing, refunds, chargebacks, disputes, and fraud prevention;
  • creator payouts, commissions, referral records, affiliate records, and transaction integrity;
  • legal compliance, regulatory obligations, subpoenas, litigation, and enforcement;
  • safety, child safety, moderation, CSAM/CSAE prevention, and abuse prevention;
  • security logs, access logs, authentication records, and audit logs;
  • honoring prior purchases, paid content access, subscriptions, Smartlists, reposts, and creator/customer transaction history;
  • preventing repeat violations, circumvention, spam, harassment, exploitation, fraud, or other abuse;
  • resolving open support requests, investigations, reports, or disputes;
  • preserving Consultation recordings, consent logs, attendance logs, technical logs, and dispute records where necessary;
  • age-assurance, consent, approval, and revocation records where retention is permitted or required for compliance or safety.
9. Subscriptions

Account deletion does not automatically cancel subscriptions managed by Apple, Google, Stripe, or another payment provider unless the applicable platform or provider processes cancellation as part of the deletion flow.

You should cancel active subscriptions before deleting your account where possible.

For subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google, you may need to manage cancellation through your Apple or Google account settings.

10. Funds, Payouts, and Transactions

Before deleting your account, you should withdraw eligible cleared funds where withdrawal is available.

Funds subject to clearance periods, payout holds, fraud review, chargebacks, refunds, disputes, tax review, sanctions screening, legal retention, unclaimed property rules, or other compliance requirements may remain temporarily restricted until the relevant process is completed.

Deletion does not cancel, reverse, waive, or reduce completed transactions, Platform fees, commissions, payment processing charges, referral commissions, affiliate commissions, payout conditions, chargeback obligations, taxes, or legal obligations that arose before deletion.

11. Content and Purchases

After deletion, some content may no longer be visible on Sociala. However, Sociala may retain or continue to make limited records or access available where necessary to honor prior purchases, maintain transaction integrity, support Smartlists or reposts, comply with law, prevent fraud, enforce Platform Policies, or protect safety.

Content that was sold, monetized, included in a Smartlist, subject to a purchase, or involved in an investigation may be retained or limited according to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

12. Backups and Archives

Deleted data may remain in backups, archives, logs, or disaster recovery systems for a limited period until overwritten or deleted according to Sociala's retention practices, unless earlier deletion is technically feasible and legally required.

13. Processing Timeline

Sociala generally processes verified deletion requests within the period required by applicable law. Some requests may take longer where necessary for identity verification, fraud prevention, chargeback handling, disputes, Consultation review, legal compliance, accounting, security, child safety, or other lawful retention or operational requirements.

Sociala may communicate status updates by email, in-app notice, web portal, or other legally permitted method.
