Consultation Policy

1. Purpose

This Consultation Policy governs one-on-one video consultations, meetings, coaching calls, advisory calls, live sessions, and other appointment-based creator interaction services made available through Sociala ("Consultations").

This Policy supplements the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Payment Systems Policy, Fees and Commissions Policy,Refund Policy, Community Guidelines, Acceptable Use Policy, Child Safety / CSAE Standards, Age Assurance and Parental Consent Policy, App Store Compliance Addendum, Creator Terms, and other applicable Platform Policies.

2. Platform Role

Sociala acts as a technical platform provider that may facilitate scheduling, communication, recording, moderation, payment processing, dispute review, and operational support for Consultations.

Sociala does not provide, endorse, supervise, certify, or guarantee any Consultation, advice, creator service, qualification, outcome, result, professional benefit, personal benefit, commercial success, or user satisfaction.

Creators are independent users and are solely responsible for their services, qualifications, representations, pricing, availability, conduct, legal compliance, and Consultation content.

3. Eligibility and Minors

Consultations are intended for users who are at least eighteen (18) years old.

Minors may not book, purchase, offer, conduct, receive, or participate in paid Consultations unless Sociala expressly permits a limited use case where legally allowed and all required parental approvals, age-assurance checks, recording consent requirements, safety controls, and legal requirements have been satisfied.

Sociala may restrict Consultations based on age category, parental consent status, app-store approval status, content rating, purchase rating, user role, region, platform, safety signals, or applicable law.

4. Regulated Services and Professional Claims

Sociala does not provide medical, legal, financial, tax, therapeutic, psychological, employment, immigration, investment, or other regulated professional services.

Creators may not offer regulated professional services through Consultations unless they are properly licensed, authorized, qualified, and legally permitted to do so in all applicable jurisdictions and provide any required disclosures.

Creators must not falsely claim or imply licensure, accreditation, certification, institutional affiliation, professional status, guaranteed outcomes, or regulated authority.

Sociala may restrict, label, demonetize, limit discovery, suspend, or prohibit Consultations involving regulated professions, high-risk advice, or safety-sensitive topics.

5. Consultation Listings

Creators may create Consultation listings specifying title, description, duration, price, availability, supported booking slots, topics, restrictions, and other applicable settings.

Sociala may establish minimum or maximum durations, pricing rules, booking limits, availability restrictions, age restrictions, topic restrictions, or operational limitations.

Creators must ensure that listings are accurate, lawful, non-deceptive, properly categorized, and compliant with Platform Policies.

6. Booking and Consent

Users may book Consultations through Sociala where the feature is available.

Before confirming a booking, users may be required to acknowledge pricing, timing, cancellation rules, refund rules, recording requirements, age restrictions, safety terms, and Platform Policies.

Users may be required to click "Join & Consent" or a similar confirmation before entering a Consultation session. Joining after such confirmation constitutes express consent to recording and related processing as described in this Policy and the Privacy Policy.

7. Recording and Review

All Consultations conducted through Sociala may be automatically audio and/or video recorded. Recording may be a mandatory condition of using Consultation functionality.

By creating, booking, joining, accessing, participating in, or conducting a Consultation, each participant consents to recording, storage, processing, review, and use of such recordings by Sociala for operational purposes.

Recordings and related records may be used for dispute resolution, fraud prevention, trust and safety review, moderation, legal compliance, quality assurance, technical diagnostics, payment review, chargeback review, refund review, and Platform security.

Users who do not consent to recording must not participate in Consultations.

Users may not reproduce, screen record, redistribute, publish, disclose, or commercially exploit Consultation recordings or Consultation content without authorization from all applicable participants and rights holders, except where expressly permitted by applicable law.

8. No Confidentiality or Privilege Guarantee

Users should not assume that Consultations are confidential, privileged, protected, encrypted against all risks, exempt from moderation, or exempt from legal disclosure.

Sociala does not guarantee attorney-client privilege, medical confidentiality, therapist-patient confidentiality, fiduciary confidentiality, employment confidentiality, or similar regulated protections for Consultations.

9. Payments and App-Store Rules

Paid Consultations require payment at booking unless Sociala states otherwise.

Consultation payments are Platform transactions and are not escrow accounts, custodial accounts, trust accounts, fiduciary arrangements, client funds, or employment placement payments.

Where permitted by app-store rules, real-time one-to-one services between two individuals may be processed through non-IAP payment methods. Group services, one-to-many services, recorded content, content libraries, courses, subscriptions, creator content, or other digital goods or digital services may be required to use Apple In-App Purchase, Google Play Billing, or another app-store-approved payment method depending on platform and storefront.

10. Temporary Holds and Payout Timing

Consultation payments may be temporarily held, reserved, frozen, delayed, or restricted pending completion, feedback windows, dispute review, fraud prevention checks, chargeback review, compliance review, moderation review, payout review, or other Platform controls.

Creator payouts may be delayed following Consultation completion and may be further delayed, reversed, withheld, adjusted, offset, frozen, restricted, or denied where fraud, abuse, disputes, chargebacks, technical failures, policy violations, suspicious activity, legal concerns, app-store requirements, or compliance risks exist.

11. No Guaranteed Outcome

Consultation payments are made for access to scheduled digital interaction time and creator availability, not for any guaranteed outcome, result, advice quality, satisfaction level, commercial success, professional advancement, personal benefit, certification, employment, financial gain, medical improvement, legal result, therapeutic result, or specific deliverable.

Refunds, reversals, or credits are not granted solely because a user is dissatisfied with a Consultation, disagrees with the creator's opinions, expected different advice, or did not achieve a desired outcome.

12. No-Shows and Late Arrivals

A participant who fails to join a Consultation within five (5) minutes after the scheduled start time may be considered a no-show.

If the creator is determined to be a no-show, Sociala may issue a refund, credit, rescheduling option, or other resolution.

If the purchaser is determined to be a no-show, joins materially late, experiences avoidable user-side technical issues, fails to prepare, or otherwise fails to participate within the required time window, the purchaser may forfeit all or part of the Consultation fee.

Sociala determines attendance, no-show status, participation, lateness, technical presence, refund eligibility, and payout eligibility based on Platform records, technical logs, connection data, timestamps, recordings, and other available information.

13. User-Side Technical Issues

Refunds are generally not available for user-side technical issues, including internet connectivity problems, device or browser incompatibility, camera or microphone failures, email or magic-link access problems, time-zone mistakes, login problems, hardware or software issues, or failure to join on time.

Users are responsible for testing their device, connection, browser, camera, microphone, login credentials, email access, and environment before joining a Consultation.

14. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Consultations may be canceled by the creator or purchaser where supported.

Unless otherwise specified by Sociala or required by law, cancellations made at least twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled Consultation time may qualify for a full refund or credit, while cancellations made less than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled start time may result in partial forfeiture.

Consultations booked within twenty-four (24) hours of the scheduled start time may be subject to stricter cancellation, forfeiture, rescheduling, and refund rules, including forfeiture of up to fifty percent (50%) of the Consultation fee.

Rescheduling may be limited or unavailable and may require cancellation and new booking.

15. Safety Rules

Consultations must comply with the Community Guidelines, Acceptable Use Policy, Child Safety / CSAE Standards, and all Platform Policies.

Users may not use Consultations for harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual exploitation, grooming, fraud, scams, impersonation, unlawful conduct, off-platform payment circumvention, professional misrepresentation, unauthorized recording, unsafe minor contact, or other prohibited activity.

Users may report safety concerns, inappropriate conduct, no-shows, technical issues, or policy violations related to Consultations through Platform-supported reporting or feedback tools.

16. Evidence and Records

Sociala may rely on recordings, participation logs, attendance records, timestamps, consent confirmations, technical logs, user reports, payment records, chargeback records, fraud indicators, and moderation records when reviewing disputes, refunds, payouts, chargebacks, enforcement, or safety issues.

Sociala's internal records may be treated as authoritative for operational determinations unless Sociala decides correction is appropriate.

17. Free Consultations

Creators may offer free Consultations where enabled.

Recording, consent, moderation, no-show handling, conduct rules, safety enforcement, disputes, and Platform Policies apply to free Consultations except for payment-specific provisions.

Sociala may introduce optional deposits, verification, attendance controls, or anti-abuse measures for free Consultations.

18. Magic Links and Access

Sociala may provide temporary access links, magic links, email authentication links, or similar mechanisms for joining Consultations.

Users are responsible for keeping such links confidential and must not share them with unauthorized persons.

19. Policy Updates

Sociala may update this Consultation Policy as features, laws, app-store rules, safety practices, payment requirements, or operational needs evolve.
