Fees and Commissions Policy
This Fees and Commissions Policy (“Policy”) outlines the current commission and fee structure on the Sociala platform and is binding for all users. This Policy supplements the Terms of Use and governs all financial interactions on the Platform.
Sociala reserves the right to amend this Policy with at least 30 days’ prior notice, which will be published directly on the Platform.
1. Platform FeeA 5% platform service fee is deducted from the gross sale price of each paid content transaction. This fee is charged to the seller (content creator) and covers use of the Platform infrastructure and related services. This fee will increase to 10% starting January 1, 2026.
2. Referral Commission StructureSociala’s multi-tiered referral commission system is structured as follows:
- Direct sales to non-referrals: A 25% referral commission is deducted from the content seller and paid to the referrer.
- Sales to direct referrals: 0% referral commission is applied — the content creator receives full revenue minus platform and payment fees.
- Smartlist referral commission: If a Smartlist includes posts not created by the Smartlist owner, and the buyer is not their referral, the Smartlist creator receives 4% of the value of those third-party posts.
- Repost commission: If a user purchases a reposted post from a channel, page, or Smartlist, and is not a referral of the reposting author, that author receives 1% of the sale amount.
A payment processing fee of 5.9% + $0.30 is charged per transaction.
Additional fees may apply for purchases made through mobile apps (e.g., iOS App Store or Google Play). These are set by the respective app stores and are outside of Sociala’s control.
4. Withdrawal Fees- Withdrawals of deposited funds (i.e., money added to the platform by users for purchases) are subject to a 15% withdrawal fee.
- Withdrawals of earned funds (i.e., income from content sales, referrals, and Smartlists) carry no withdrawal fee from Sociala.
- Users are solely responsible for any bank or third-party processing fees charged during withdrawal.
All sales, use, VAT, or similar taxes are the responsibility of the buyer (user). If Sociala is legally obligated to collect and remit such taxes, the amount will be added to the final price paid by the buyer.
Sellers are not responsible for covering buyer-side taxes or third-party processing surcharges.
