Some flowers carry more than just beauty; they carry stories. For me, phlox will forever be tied to memories of my grandmother’s garden. She didn’t have endless varieties of flowers, but every summer there was always one radiant patch a sea of bright, fragrant phlox.
Their clusters of blossoms looked like little clouds of pinks, purples, glowing under the sun and filling the air with a sweet, calming scent. To me, they weren’t just flowers they were home, warmth and comfort.
Phlox have been loved for centuries. In Greek, their name means “flame,” a symbol of the glowing colors they bring to gardens. In Victorian times, they were seen as a flower of harmony, love, and sweet dreams. And honestly, that’s exactly how they feel a living reminder that the simplest things in life can shine the brightest 🌸
Every time I see them, I’m reminded of those summers at my grandmother’s house… proof that flowers don’t just decorate our gardens, they decorate our memories too.
