If I had to choose one flower that whispers “autumn is near,” it would be the zinnia. Their bold colors fiery orange, bright pink, golden yellow and deep red light up the garden like little lanterns, announcing the change of seasons.
Zinnias are not just beautiful; they carry stories, too.
One ancient Mexican legend says that the flower was once plain and overlooked, until the gods, touched by its resilience, blessed it with vivid colors so it would shine even in the heat of summer and the fading days of autumn. That’s why zinnias often symbolize endurance, lasting friendship and remembrance 💛
Another interesting fact: zinnias were among the first flowers ever grown in space! In 2015, NASA astronauts successfully cultivated them aboard the International Space Station, proving that even in the vastness of space, flowers find a way to bloom 🌍✨.
Every time I see them, I’m reminded of both resilience and joy how beauty can thrive even when the seasons are changing. To me, zinnias are a gentle reminder that transitions in life can also be colorful and full of meaning 🍁
