In this video, we embarked on an unforgettable adventure to the Isles of Scilly, a picturesque archipelago off the coast of Cornwall. Our journey began early, as we set off from the bustling port of Penzance, eager to explore the crystal-clear waters and diverse wildlife that awaited us.
As we approached the islands, the stunning coastline came into view, dotted with secluded coves and towering granite cliffs. Our first paddleboarding expedition took us along the eastern side of St. Mary’s, the largest of the Scilly Isles. The glassy waters provided the perfect conditions for paddling, and we couldn’t resist a quick swim with a playful group of seals that followed us curiously.
Continuing our exploration, we crossed the bay to the neighboring islands of Tresco and Bryher. These smaller isles offered hidden gems, including secluded sandy beaches and vibrant marine life. We took advantage of the paddleboards’ accessibility to venture into tiny bays, where we marveled at the underwater world teeming with colorful fish and marine invertebrates.
Throughout our journey, we remained mindful of conservation measures, using reef-safe sunscreen to protect the delicate marine ecosystem. We also shared our experiences with Will and Georgie from SUP Water, who joined us for a memorable paddle.
As our time in the Scilly Isles drew to a close, we felt incredibly fortunate to have witnessed the beauty and tranquility of this special place. We left with a deep appreciation for the importance of preserving its pristine environment and a desire to return for more adventures in the future.
